The Great Pea Race!!

Secret Garden Club: Week Two

This week we learned that Thomas Jefferson engaged in a Great Pea Race with his neighbors.  In spring the competition was who could bring peas to the table first.  Here we are sowing peas!

The broccoli (I'm so glad I now know how to spell broccoli after years of spelling it brocolli) - was up after just one week!!!    Here is Principal Dymond enjoying watching the kids measure, describe and count their broccoli seedlings!!

Making seed tapes - measuring 2" increments - adding glue and a pea!!
